In the event that the Tate brothers and their associates encounter additional significant injustices that infringe upon their human rights, our intention is to organize a peaceful protest outside the Romanian Embassy in London. Law-abiding demonstrators will assemble and engage in lawful forms of protest as granted by the laws of the United Kingdom.
As outlined on the UK's National Legal Service website:
"Article 11 of the European Convention on Human Rights guarantees the freedom of assembly. This ensures that every person, irrespective of their cause, possesses the right to protest, march, or demonstrate in a public space."
The website further articulates:
"Not only does every individual have this right but the police have a duty to retain from restricting this right unnecessarily and they must take measures to protect peaceful protests. Even if they do not agree, or if there is some disturbance or offense caused to the general public, the police must demonstrate a certain degree of tolerance towards protesters."
